When did God ask for the baptism of people ? Were Adam and Eve baptized and if so who did it ? If ......?

Baptism started later in the history of the human beings ,who started it and under what authority ,did he start it ? Did God ask him to do it; if not how any one can think that God's creation required to be purified by man through baptism ?
