Wonderful sentiment, but bad placement for a first tattoo. There is a learning curve as to dealing with the pain. The ribs are the most painful and not appropriate for a first tattoo. Find a place with some muscle or fat under the skin for you first tattoo. Inner forearm is the most popular because you can show it or hide anytime.
