Stephanie/Max on Days?

Does anyone else think that union just shouldn't be? I don't have any adoptive reletives in my family personally, so I don't know the feeling behind it. But the Brady's think of Max and Franky as their very own son/brother. Don't adoptive kin want to be treated just like biological reletives? And the writers have Caroline as being pretty religious. So why are we accepting the romantic attraction of Stephanie and Max? Max is Stephanie's uncle. I know the actors are just playing their parts, but doen't anyone on that show say anything to the writers about that? I just think that romance is just wrong.
