A universal God, what's your view?

Personally for me I believe in God but not religion. I just hate the fact that when I tell people that they look at me like that is a stupid thing. Most people can coop with a universal God because they had have their same belief JUST BECAUSE that is how they were raise or it is what they have hear their whole life. To me believe what you want to believe in and don't let nobody else turn you away from you belief.
