Do African-Americans and colored people feel that US is more racist than UK and Europe?

This is in response to the emails I got from my Black friends in the UK and Germany. They write while Europe has its serious conflicts due to racial issues (e.g. Asian/White segregation in the UK in some areas), "race" itself is not an issue. They write they feel far more "welcome" and "equal" in establishments such as hotels, bars, nightclubs and even finding rental accommodation. The main issue is "uncontrolled immigration" and not racial superiority.
