What's the difference between Kosher and Halal Meats?

There are differences in the rituals and, in Judaism, certain foods cannot be kept together. The essential similarity though is the barbaric way in which animals are treated. In normal slaughtering practice, animals are electronically stunned before being killed. In Kosher and Halal rituals they are not. Their throats are slit and they are left to bleed to death.
